N.B.: Astia was replaced by Astituta Strand, 1929: 14 [urn:lsid:nmbe.ch:spidergen:05847], but this was superfluous as Astia is not preoccupied by Agassiz, 1846, who only emended Asteia Meigen, 1839 (Diptera) (Bonnet, 1955: 768); Wanless, 1988: 84 retained Vindima Thorell, 1895 in the synonymy of Astia, apparently as an error, since he earlier removed Vindima to the synonymy of Cyrba Simon, 1876 (Wanless, 1984b: 448, removed Vindima from synonymy of Astia L. Koch, 1879, rejecting Simon, 1901a: 438) and did not include the type species of Vindima in his list of Astia species.
