N.B.: the Trichopelmatinae (genera Trichopelma and Psalistops) considered to belong to the Theraphosidae rather than to Barychelidae by Raven, 1994: 333, but no phylogenetic argument is provided for this change; Trichopelma was finally transferred to the Theraphosidae (Guadanucci, 2014: 514) as well as Psalistops (Mori & Bertani, 2020: 37), so in fact Trichopelmatinae is now transferred to Theraphosidae; the family is not monophyletic per Kulkarni, Wood & Hormiga, 2023: 487, f. 5.

N.B.: considered a senior synonym of Pisenorodes Pocock, 1898 and of Pisenorina Benoit, 1966c: 214 [urn:lsid:nmbe.ch:spidergen:04977] (type Pisenor maculatus Roewer, 1953) by Raven, 1985a: 112, as well as the correct position of all described species of Pisenor Simon, 1889 except its type species, P. notius Simon, 1888; the synonymy of Pisenorodes is not accepted here, because its type Pisenorodes hoehneli Pocock, 1898 is a synonym of the type of Pisenor, P. notius Simon, 1889.
