Family: Salticidae Blackwall,1841 [] Back

Gen. Icius Simon , 1876 [ ]
N.B.: type species is I. notabilis (C. L. Koch, 1846), which = I. hamatus (C. L. Koch, 1846, not the I. notabilis of Simon, 1871, which is a misidentification of I. subinermis Simon, 1937 (Prószyński, 1983a: 46); considered a senior synonym of Pseudicius Simon, 1885 by Andreeva, Heciak & Prószyński, 1984: 350, but evidence presented by Maddison, 1987: 103, makes this synonymy dubious, and Prószyński, 1987: 151, 164, now considers that they "should be considered separate genera."
