Gen. Hahnia C. L. Koch , 1841 [ ]
N.B.: Considered a senior synonym of Hahnistea Chamberlin & Ivie, 1942 and Unzickeria Lehtinen, 1967: 273, type Hahnia okefenokensis Chamberlin & Ivie, 1934 by Opell & Beatty, 1976: 420, of Hahniops Roewer, 1942 by Bosmans, 1980: 94, contra Lehtinen, 1967: 237, who regarded that genus as a junior synonym of Muizenbergia Hewitt, 1915, and of Muizenbergia Hewitt, 1915 by Bosmans, 1992: 90, after Ledoux (1991: 146) (that genus itself considered a senior synonym of Simonida Schiapelli & Gerschman, 1958a: 217, a replacement name for Scotussa Simon, 1898, preoccupied, by Lehtinen, 1967: 250; for illustrations of cheliceral stridulatory ridges of four species, see Jocqué & Bosmans, 1982; the establishment of Hahniharmia Wunderlich, 2004j: 1420 (type and only species H. picta) accepted by the WSC Expert Board (2014), see also Ledoux, 2014: 35, but Spinihahnia Wunderlich, 2004j: 1421 (type and only species H. petrobia), and transfers of species to Iberina Simon, 1881 suggested by Wunderlich, 2004j: 1421 were inadequately justified to be accepted without further documentation. Synonymy of Tawerana with Hahnia instead of Alistra (Murphy & Roberts, 2015: ix) not sufficiently justified and is not accepted here.
