N.B.: transferred from the Ctenizidae to the Nemesiidae by Raven, 1985a: 95; considered a senior synonym of Mygalodonta Simon, 1864: 75 [urn:lsid:nmbe.ch:spidergen:06137] (type Aranea caementaria Latreille, 1799) by Thorell, 1870b: 166; considered a senior synonym of Leptopelma Ausserer, 1871a: 183 [urn:lsid:nmbe.ch:spidergen:04343] (type Leptopelma transalpinum Doleschall, 1871) by Raven, 1990: 21 (contra Raven, 1985a: 155); Haplonemesia Simon, 1914: 5, 19 [urn:lsid:nmbe.ch:spidergen:06181] (type N. simoni O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1874) and Pronemesia Simon, 1914: 16, 21 [urn:lsid:nmbe.ch:spidergen:06180] (type Aranea caementaria Latreille, 1799) were described as subgenera of Nemesia; not a senior synonym of Anemesia Pocock, 1895 (Zonstein, 2001: 11, contra Raven, 1985a: 95).
